What is kurfy?
kurfy is an independent app for Instagram designed to help you stop doomscrolling. It opens Instagram’s website with a 15-minute daily Feed allowance and no swiping between Reels. Messages, notifications and your profile remain available without the Feed timer.
How does the Instagram Feed timer work?
You get 15 minutes of Feed browsing inside kurfy each day. Leaving the Feed tab, switching apps or locking your phone pauses the timer and saves what is left. Tap Resume to continue. Your allowance resets at midnight using your device’s local date.
Can I keep Instagram messages without endless Reel scrolling?
Yes. Messages, notifications and your profile stay available without using your Feed time. You can open an individual Reel, including one shared in a message, but kurfy blocks swiping from that Reel to the next.
Does kurfy block the official Instagram app?
No. The Feed timer and Reel-swiping controls apply inside kurfy only. kurfy does not use Accessibility Services or Apple Screen Time permissions, and does not change or block other apps.
How does Instagram sign-in work?
You sign in on Instagram’s website inside kurfy. Instagram handles your credentials and activity. Cookies on your device keep you signed in. kurfy does not operate a server that receives your Instagram password or messages. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
